Show image information - Business Transformation for Hybrid Value Adding Networks

The research project, which is funded by the BMBF, works in the field of business transformation for hybrid value adding networks. The project analyses the economic and organizational aspects of business transformation processes as well as those of human resource management and planning. Furthermore, practice oriented concepts for the development and design of hybrid services will be elaborated.

Such hybrid services are bundles of products and product related services.

While many enterprises have traditionally considered their business to be product oriented, the significance of product based business has steadily decreased over the last decades and the importance of innovative services in addition to products is of ever greater relevance and importance. For today’s enterprises, this change is as much a challenge as it is an opportunity. facilitates the systematization of requirements that result from the fusion of products and services into hybrid services and supports enterprises to rise up to this new challenge.

The multiple requirements and challenges that derive from the creation of hybrid value adding networks between different enterprises are also analyzed in the project. This analysis comprises for instance aspects of collaboration in networks of companies. Based upon the analysis, methods of portfolio and competence development are adapted and new practically oriented concepts are developed by the project partners to improve innovation management.

Within this project, C-LAB particularly focuses upon the setup of technology-centered strategical service portfolios and value adding networks.
