Novel prototype design and simulation tools are introduced to provide CAD support for board-level optical interconnects.
Two ray optical simulation techniques based on hybrid ray tracing are presented and their capability are demonstrated for selected examples of use.
Furthermore a comprehensive design environment is introduced that integrates the simulators in order to provide a holistic design process for board-level optical interconnects.
