Mobility

Mobility and flexibility are nowadays constantly in demand especially with respect to permanent access to resources like data or even humans. Hence mobile devices, associated services and applications are booming. They are becoming increasingly important not only when it comes to classic mobile telephony, but also with regard to mobile access to digital information sources. It is anticipated that, in just three years, more devices will be connected to the Internet wirelessly (i.e. can be used on a mobile basis) than via wires.

In almost all areas of life, this will produce new business models that draw upon location-independent, proactive personalized services. Promising application areas can be identified in the private sector but also in the business area. Concerning the use within a business context, especially the field of maintaining complex goods can benefit from the already available technology. Several scenarios and use cases already exist for the efficient support of service processes through mobile technology.

C-LAB identifies the added value of using mobile technology within business processes and the impact of applying such technology to the processes on user or business level via Mobility Assessments and through the development of detailed mobile application scenarios.

Our customers can benefit from our ideal interplay of technology and expertise in the area of business and user-process analysis directed towards the design of mobility solutions. Only this way we can ensure that mobile technology improves the business and user processes in a sustainable manner considering efficiency and quality.

In several projects in the area, C-LAB has gained a significant background knowledge concerning mobile technology and a lot of experience concerning the implementation and use of such technologies in various application domains. Competencies in the area of Augmented Reality, Wearable Computing, Embedded Systems and Web Services are complementary topics which we are able to encompass into mobile solutions.
